Charging Recommendations

1. Always ensure that the battery is not hot and is at room temperature before charging.

2. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger. Do not store the battery on the charger for extended periods of time. Please note that storing a battery in a charger that is not plugged into the wall, can potentially cause the battery to drain back into the charger. This was more common with older chargers and we have also noted it in some newer chargers.

3. It is recommended to not store the battery on the device when not in use. Storing the battery separately removes the possibility of the device slowly draining the battery. 

4. If you have not used the battery for 2-3 months, we would recommend recharging the battery and if possible, use them. This helps maintain their health.

5. Lastly, be sure to store your battery in a dry environment. If possible, avoid temperatures below freezing and above 110F to maximize battery life.


Li-Ion batteries may be regulated for shipment based upon their size. Below are links to the regulations from the three main shipping carriers for shipping lithium batteries. 

USPS will transport batteries that are up to 100Wh per section 349.222 that can be found here.

Great experience with the MTO folks

Those who have purchased the very popular Aiwa Exos-9 Bluetooth speaker have been learning that the critical chargeable batteries seem to have a shelf life of about 2-3 years before they stop excepting a recharge. Since Aiwa discontinued this speaker a few years ago, those who purchased this expensive speaker (Now going for $500+ on eBay) are basically looking at a lost investment. That is until MTO came along and offered a rebuild service on the battery. I have used this service and can report that the MTO folks do a great job of rebuilding this battery to like-new charging capability. They let me know when they received my shipped battery, and kept me appraised on the completion ETA until it shipped. I own 3 of these great speakers speakers, and would have been SOL if they didn't offer this service. I am about to ship them another dead battery now that I know the service works. Use these folks folks without hesitance.
