Charging Recommendations

Always ensure that charging is done while you are present, on non-flammable impermeable surface such as concrete or steel, with adequate ventilation, and with proper fire extinguishing equipment nearby.

1. Always ensure that the battery is not hot and is at room temperature before charging.

2. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger. Do not store the battery on the charger for extended periods of time. Please note that storing a battery in a charger that is not plugged into the wall, can potentially cause the battery to drain back into the charger. This was more common with older chargers and we have also noted it in some newer chargers.

3. It is recommended to not store the battery on the device when not in use. Storing the battery separately removes the possibility of the device slowly draining the battery. 

4. If you have not used the battery for 2-3 months, we would recommend recharging the battery and if possible, use them. This helps maintain their health.

5. Lastly, be sure to store your battery in a dry environment. If possible, avoid temperatures below freezing and above 110F to maximize battery life.

Shipping

Li-Ion batteries may be regulated for shipment based upon their size. Below are links to the regulations from the three main shipping carriers for shipping lithium batteries. 

USPS will transport batteries that are up to 100Wh per section 349.222 that can be found here.

UPS will transport batteries that are up to, but not exceeding, 300Wh per their information that can be found here. UPS Hazmat Phone: 1-800-554-9964

FedEx will transport batteries that are up to, but not exceeding, 300Wh per their information that can be found here. FedEx Hazmat Phone: 1-800-463-3339

If your battery is in excess of 300Wh, you will need to see if your local UPS or FedEx location has a staff member that is properly trained to package and ship your battery(s).

Cases, connectors, and circuit boards are re-used and are not replaced or serviced. The performance of our battery packs is equal to or better than that of a brand new battery from the OEM but at a fraction of the cost. Send your BA1400 battery to us and let us make it work as well as new. Our trained technicians work on EGO® brand batteries each day. We rebuild almost all types of EGO® brand batteries. Note: When we are rebuilding your battery, if your circuit board is found to be defective, we will contact you. At that time we will provide you with the option of sending us another battery or we can refund you for the rebuild service. The old cells are removed and recycled prior to circuit board testing and cannot be shipped back to you. 

Orders containing lithium batteries will ship by ground only regardless of the shipping method chosen.

Great service at a fair price.

While I've only used my refurbished battery a few times, it seems to work like new, but time will tell. Appreciated the helpful tips provided to increase battery life, which I've been following. It's a great service which saved me a little money over purchasing a new battery. One suggestion would be to help your customers with shipping costs and labels as it cost me $26 to ship the battery to MTO. Overall I'm very pleased with the result.
